The next step after selecting the appropriate cage and aviary for your exotics, is to equip the living space of the cage with the details needed for the healthy and enjoyable development of your exotics.
Stainless steel bowls
Tree perch
Into the cage or aviary we place suitable timber of hardwood such as oak, beech and maple in which we drill holes in order to make horizontal perches.
Branches
Into the holes of tree perch but also on the cage, we put fresh branches for chewing which should be changed every week. The best are fruit tree branches from one´s own garden.
Nesting box
For parakeets, we place a nesting box by the ceiling either made of chipboard or a scooped out a tree trunk.
Bathroom
Parrots bathing needs can be catered for by placing a little bathroom in the cage, for example a stainless steel bowl filled with water. Bear in mind that parrots also drink from the bowl, so it needs to be changed regularly.
Abrasive perches
Their purpose is not only to exercise the parrot´s legs and claws bur also to maintain their beak hygiene.
Toys
We shouldn´t forget the fact that parrots are playful, so it´s appropriate to place in the cage, ropes, bird houses, ladders and other entertainments.
Cuttle Bone
It shouldn´t be missing in any breeding facility for parrots as it contains the essential mineral - calcium.
Mineral block
Equally important is a mineral block which is a good source of vitamins and minerals and aids the parrot´s digestion.
We will gladly help in the furnishing of your cage or aviary.
